Financial Advisor


Chad graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science in Business in 2006. Chad owned and successfully operated 3 businesses from 2002 to 2010. In 2010, he joined Northwestern Mutual in Lafayette, LA.

As a Financial Advisor, Chad enjoys working with business owners, veterinarians, and retirees. 

As a previous business owner himself, Chad understands the obstacles and financial challanges that self-employed individuals are faced with and helps them navigate through those challanges.

In conjunction with the Retirement Income Planning, he has always had an interest in protecting people from a disability. Individual Disabiliity Insurance, Group Disability, Long-Term Care, and Special Needs Planning have always been a focus in his practice.

National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors: Chad Romero is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). The mission of NAIFA is to advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhance business and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of our members.

NAIFA is a national nonprofit organization representing the interests of more than 70,000 insurance and financial advisors nationwide, through its federation of over 900 state and local associations. Founded in 1890, NAIFA is the nation's largest financial services membership association.

Chad has earned his RICP®, ChFC®, CLU®, ChSNC®

  • The Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) is a financial professional who specializes in retirement income planning. RICP's advise retirees and near retirees as to the best was to use the assets they have accumulated for retirement to live comfortably within a real budget and not run out of money prematurely.
  • The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) is a professional designation representing completion of a comprehensive course consisting of financial education, examinations and practical experience. Those who earn the designation are understood to be knowledgeable in financial matters and to have the ability to provide sound advice.
  • Since 1927, the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. The designation helps individuals build a successful life insurance practice by providing clients with knowledgeable and ethical advice. For financial representatives, the CLU® designation symbolizes continuing growth and commitment to professionalism.
  • The Chartered Special Needs Consultant  (ChSNC®designation is equipped with the specialized skills needed to help parents and caregivers plan for the future with honesty, ethics and compassion. A ChSNC® designation navigates unique considerations, estate planning, special needs trust, life insurance, tax deductions, healthcare issues, Medicaid complexities, and the emotional aspects of providing for a loved one with a disability.
